Crunch Exercise
Ever looked in the mirror and wondered what happened to the body you once had ?
Particularly as we get older, gravity seems to pull much more of us closer to the ground.
To combat the effects of gravity we all need a little exercise. That exercise can take many forms from a brisk walk to swimming, or even jogging.
Whilst all these forms of exercise are good for general fitness they may not help with one main problem area for a lot of people - the tummy.
If you really want a flat tummy, or firm abdominal (abs for short) muscles, you need to focus on doing a crunch exercise, but I expect you knew that already.

What you may not know however is that it's difficult to get firm abdominal muscles without doing some form of cardio exercise as well as a crunch exercise routine.
If you want to burn off abdominal fat, you need at least 30 minutes a day of cardio exercise and a good crunch exercise.
The crunch exercise should concentrate on technique rather than how many sit ups you can do.
It's always a good idea when you start a crunch exercise to seek professional guidance from your local gym, or with a personal fitness trainer. That way you can be sure you are doing a crunch exercise the most effective and safe way.

Technique is crucial, doing a crunch exercise in small numbers with the right technique is far more effective than a large number of sit ups done the wrong way.
In time, a crunch exercise coupled with cardio exercise can make your body look as if you’ve lost a lot more pounds than you really have.
Putting together a work-out plan that suits your lifestyle can take time, so be patient
Also don't expect results too quickly and when you don't see them just give up.
Start off by doing crunch exercise and cardio exercise until you feel you have done enough.
Each day, write down how long you exercised and make a note of any improvements.

Be sure not to become obsessed with weight loss, because as you get in shape initially you'll actually gain some weight because muscle weighs more than fat.
However, the good news is more muscle will enable you to burn off more fat and your weight will eventually drop.
The extra muscle will also help you look and feel more slim as you become fitter. Too many people focus on the weight loss aspect of exercise.
Imagine yourself in a smaller size of jeans or a slinky dress as a reward for all your hard work. With cardio and crunch exercise you could see a result in under a month! Why not give it a try, you have nothing to lose, except a few inches around your waist.
